Our fresh mushrooms are not cultivated, but harvested in the woods. Their growth is closely linked to the cycle of the seasons and climatic conditions.
The fresh mushroom season starts in March with Morels (Morchelle – Morchelacee family). This is followed by Sloes, Chanterelles, Porcini, Ovules, etc.
For Porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis), the period when such climatic conditions most often occur is between August and October; in the luckiest years (the rainiest), the period can also be between May and June.
